BIOGRAPHY
MOST WORSHIPFUL GRAND MASTER DAVID GEORGE LOVE
Born August 12, 1945 in St. Boniface, Manitoba and educated in Winnipeg and Toronto.
He was employed by the City of Winnipeg (East Kildonan Community) as Police Officer for 12 years by the Province of Manitoba as a Level 2 Supervisor at Seven Oaks Centre for Youth for 5 years.
He enjoyed 25 years as a member of the East Kildonan Salvation Army as a Pastor/ Executive Director of a Harbour Light Addiction Treatment Centre for 1984-1990.
David is the owner / counselor of Clean & Sober, an Addiction & Relationship Counselling Service, 1990 - 2009.
He is a Past President of the Manitoba Society of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. and twice president of the East Kildonan Lions Club.
He has been married for 40 years to his wife June and is the father of two adult sons, Noel and Christian and Grandfather to Zoey Leah Nadeau - Love. David is a second generation Freemason, joining his father's Lodge, The Dormer No.151 in 1970, at the age of 25 yrs. He was Initiated March 17/70, Passed April 21 /70, Raised on May 25/70. After serving as Worshipful Master of the Dormer Lodge for two terms 2001-2003 he now presently is the Chaplain of The Dormer Mount Sinai Lodge No. 188. He is an associate member of Kilcona Lodge No. 183 (2006).
His many Masonic bodies include - Past Dad Advisor the East Kildonan Chapter of DeMolay, Royal Arch Masons No.1 Prince Rupert - 2002, Knights Templar, Mount Carmel No.44 - 2002, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Freemason 32 degree - 2006, Noble in Khartum Shrine - 2007 and a member of the Khartum Ritualistic Unit - also a member Order of Eastern Star Fort Garry Chapter - 2008.
He has served as, D.D.G.M. District 10, 2003-2004, Board of General Purposes 2004-2005, Grand Chaplain 2005-2006, Junior Grand Warden 2005-2006, Senior Grand Warden 2006-2007, Deputy Grand Master 2008-2009 and President of the Board of General Purposes. He has been Chairperson of the Masonic Family Committee 2005-2009.
